Privacy Policy for Colorette

Mediocre Game Studio LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the mobile app Colorette (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the App, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Information processed by the app

Artwork and preferences

Colorette stores paintings, imported images, palettes, preferences and downloaded artwork in local app storage. We do not receive your painting images or drawing history through normal app use. There is no app account, cloud sync, community feed, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or cross-app tracking. Device backups are controlled by Apple and your system settings.

Imports, exports and local diagnostics

Photos and Files import processes only the images you select, on your device. Export, sharing and printing are initiated by you through Apple’s system interfaces. The destination you choose handles the shared file under its own practices. Technical diagnostic reports remain local unless you choose to share one from Settings. There are no automatic diagnostic uploads. Reports may include device/app information, artwork identifiers, timings and a description you enter; review them before sharing and avoid sensitive information.

In-app purchases

Apple processes payments for permanent artwork collections. We do not receive your payment-card details. Colorette uses Apple’s verified purchase information to unlock collections and restore ownership. For protected paid downloads, our service processes signed transaction information, including transaction/product identifiers and ownership or revocation status, and verifies it with Apple. This information is used for purchase access and fraud prevention, not advertising. Transaction proofs and Apple’s ownership responses are not written to service logs or diagnostic reports.

Secure downloads and hosting

Amazon Web Services hosts our website, public collection catalog, previews and protected artwork. Network services process ordinary request information, including IP address, requested path and response status, to deliver files and protect the service. Actual coloring downloads use Apple App Attest. Our service retains an app-installation attestation key identifier, public key and security counter to authenticate requests, plus short-lived challenges, request-rate counters and download-quota records. Rate-limit keys use a hash of the IP address. These identifiers are used for app functionality and abuse prevention, not advertising or cross-app tracking.

Support correspondence

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request and investigate issues. Share artwork only if you want us to see it. Contact hello@mediocregs.com to request deletion of support correspondence; records may be retained where necessary to resolve an ongoing issue or meet legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Retention

Challenges expire after five minutes; rate counters after three minutes; quota records after two days. Expired database records are removed asynchronously. Attestation registration records persist to validate future requests. We do not associate them with a studio account or your paintings. Contact us with questions or a deletion request; we may need information to locate an installation’s technical record without collecting your artwork.

Your choices and rights

Delete individual paintings in My Work. Deleting the app removes its local data; purchases do not restore deleted paintings. Export important work before uninstalling. Exported copies are managed at their chosen destinations.

Changes to this policy

If our features or data practices change, we will update this policy and relevant App Store disclosures.
