Perfectly adequate games.

We build iOS games and apps that are honestly pretty decent. Try the ad-supported version for free, then buy the full game once and every ad disappears permanently. No subscriptions, premium currency bundles, or repeat purchases. We set the bar at exactly the right height, and then, more often than not, we clear it.

What We Do

Small studio. Modest ambitions. Solid results.

Mediocre Game Studio is a small independent team building games and apps exclusively for iOS. No, like seriously small — one developer and a lot of AI. The name keeps us humble; the work speaks for itself.

🎮

iOS Games

Snackable, satisfying games you can play while pretending to listen in meetings. Reasonably fun, guaranteed.* Ad-free once you own the full game — actually guaranteed.

📱

iOS Apps

Apps we actually find useful and like — all without that annoying ad banner glued to the bottom. They might work, they might not. But hey, we built them.

🕹️

Weird Experiments

Sometimes we build things just to see if we can. Sometimes they even ship. This is where the fun ones come from.

🤖

Android?

Ew. No. We aim for mediocrity, and we simply cannot aim that low. Our sincere apologies to all four of you who were going to ask.

The Mission

Games the way they used to be.

Remember when you bought a game and then just… played it? Wild concept. We're bringing it back.

Somewhere along the way, mobile games stopped being games and became vending machines with a game attached. We're not doing that. We focus on the games, not the revenue — which, given our name, is probably the only business plan we're qualified for.

We also love playing the popular stuff. What we don't love is being forced to watch three unskippable ads just to open a chest, spin a wheel, or continue existing. That's not gameplay — that's a hostage negotiation. It cuts into precious gaming time and makes you want to poke your eyes out with an Apple Pencil (sold separately).

So we're building our own variations of the ad-riddled games you already love — the way games used to work. The free version is supported by ads and may offer optional ads for bonuses (fine, yes, ads — mediocrity doesn't pay for itself). Buy the full game once and all advertising disappears permanently, along with the subscriptions, premium currency bundles, and repeat purchases. Like shareware, but with rounder fonts.

The House Rules

  • No ads in the full game. Not one.
  • No subscriptions or consumable purchases.
  • No premium currency bundles.
  • Energy and cooldowns may be gameplay mechanics, but they are never something we sell.
  • The free version is ad-supported and may offer optional rewarded ads.
  • Watching an ad is never the only way forward. You can always wait and continue normally.
  • Full-game owners receive every ad-backed gameplay bonus directly, without an ad.
  • Buy once, and every ad is gone permanently.
  • In-game currencies are earned by playing.
Our Games

One game live. Another taking root.

Afterfront Survival is live on the App Store, and Petal Loom Sort is coming soon with a quieter kind of challenge. Try our games free with ads, or buy once to remove every ad permanently.

Average response time: somewhere between “soon” and “we just found your email in a drawer.” Managing expectations is kind of our whole brand.
