Privacy Policy for Hanotes

Mediocre Game Studio LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the mobile app Hanotes (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the App, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information processed by the App
Notes and preferences
The App stores notebooks, folders, pages, drawings, typed text, stickers, music symbols, sticky notes, board positions and preferences on your device. It also keeps a notebook's selected custom cover image, if you choose one through the system Photos picker. The App receives the selected image, not general access to your photo library. It saves a smaller PNG copy without the original photo metadata. Custom cover images sync with the notebook when iCloud Sync is enabled. It keeps a local recovery copy of its library. It does not send note content to the studio. iCloud Sync is on by default. When available and enabled, the App syncs your notes through Apple's CloudKit service in your private iCloud account so you can use them on devices signed into that account. No studio account is required. You can turn sync off in Settings; local notes remain, and copies already in iCloud are not automatically removed by that switch. Offline edits are queued until syncing can resume. Deletion markers help keep deleted notes from reappearing on another device. Apple device backups may also handle app data according to your settings and Apple's terms. Deleting the App may delete local notes; do not rely on unverified sync or backup as your only recovery method.
Support correspondence
If you contact support through your email app, we receive information you choose to share, such as your message, email address, device details or screenshots. Please remove private note content you do not want to share.
The App contains no advertising or analytics SDK, tracking functionality, in-app purchase flow, microphone recording, camera integration or contact access. The App uses Apple’s private CloudKit service for optional sync and native Apple frameworks for writing, drawing, selected-photo import, sharing and printing.
How we use information
Local information operates the App and preserves your notes and preferences. We use support correspondence to investigate and respond to your request.
Sharing
The App does not transmit your library to the studio or an advertising or analytics provider. With iCloud Sync on, your note content is sent to your private Apple CloudKit storage. When you choose Share, the App prepares only the selected page, notebook or board and supplies it to the destination you choose in Apple's system share sheet. The destination receives that copy and handles it under its own policies. Temporary export files are removed when sharing finishes or is dismissed. Apple services and any sharing/email provider you choose operate under their own policies. We may process or disclose support information when needed to respond, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.
Retention and security
Local notes remain on your device until you delete them, remove the App, or the operating system removes them. The recovery copy is updated with the library. We retain support correspondence as reasonably necessary to handle requests and related operational or legal needs. No system or backup can guarantee recovery.
Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete notes in the App, export copies using Share, turn iCloud Sync off in Settings, and manage iCloud/device storage through Apple. Deletions made while sync is on propagate to the connected devices when syncing runs. Turning sync off alone does not delete copies already in iCloud. Contact us about information under our control; the studio does not receive your private note library through the sync service. Your applicable privacy rights depend on where you live.
Children
Hanotes is a general-purpose note-taking tool, not a social network or a service designed to collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the App. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us through support correspondence, contact us so we can address it.
International processing
Support correspondence and your chosen platform/email services may be processed outside your country, according to the relevant service's practices.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy and its effective date when the App's data practices change.
